The conference «Еurope-Poland-Ukraine. Rebuild together»

The conference «Еurope-Poland-Ukraine. Rebuild together» was held in Warsaw on October the 5th.

✔️The purpose of the event is to form and strengthen relations between European, Polish and Ukrainian business, as well as to establish cooperation for the future reconstruction of the Ukrainian state and economy.

This productive meeting shows that Polish-Ukrainian cooperation and openness can play an important role in the process of rebuilding Ukraine. Ukrainian entrepreneurs may benefit from the unique Polish experience in the process of economic and social transformation of their own country during the years of Poland’s integration into the EU. In turn, Polish business is interested in contributing to the economic recovery of Ukraine and is counting on appropriate political and legal support.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki

At the conference, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki spoke about the necessity for cooperation for the benefit of both countries and business. “We are witnessing a geopolitical turn, huge changes. We need to build a new security architecture, the foundation on which these changes must be based,” he said. Among the necessary elements, the Head of the Polish Government named: the post-war economic reconstruction of Ukraine, the promotion of the process of adaptation to European legislation within the framework of preparations for joining the EU, the encouragement of cooperation between the defense enterprises of both countries.

Polish companies are interested in investing and working in Ukraine. 1,200 companies have already declared their willingness to cooperate.

The most interesting sectors for the Polish investors:

✅agribusiness (grain export, deep processing and production of meat, milk, dairy products, etc.);
✅energy (sale and management of green energy);
✅ IT sphere (development of new joint products);
✅ natural resources (Ukraine is rich in mineral resources in high concentration and in close proximity to each other. The country has significant reserves of coal, iron ore, natural gas, manganese, salt, oil, graphite, etc.)

The most important issue is to guarantee of investment security in war and post-war times. This is one of the factors that worries investors the most.

“Of course, the decision on large investments requires time and risk assessment. A potential investor must conduct due diligence, which lasts at least some months. Therefore, it is worth to start now. Ukraine is a country of great opportunities, and the one who comes first will get the most advantages” – emphasizes the Partner of the INTELEVRAZ Investment Company Valentyna Grechka.
